9MTC a/k/a 9Mil The Chrome

“The first pistol I ever picked up was a chrome 9millimeter. I noticed that the mil part was in the name just like my name is Jamil and close ones call me Mil. I thought ‘I’m something like this gun it’s like I’m killing these dudes with my music so I just ran with 9Mil The Chrome. I later abbreviated it for the kids sake and to sound more professional.”

What has been your biggest accomplishment?: I landed some of my production on Universal/Motown.

What has been your most difficult challenge?: To put myself out there worldwide to be noticed.

What makes you different?: The music I make is pure reality. unlike other rappers/artist my beats are unique, the delivery is strong, and the content in my lyrics have substance on top of that it’s catchy. Right now I’m working on a project entitled ‘Nuthin’ But The Truth’, to follow up from my latest mitape

Where are you from originally? Jacksonville FL
How Long have you been making music? I’ve been recording music since I was 14. Been playing the keyboard since 7. When anybodie goes against the grain to speak the truth and be heard and remembered with respect. I believe that if most people with power exercised it to help the youth and the black community the future would lead to good things because the kids carry on the world when we die.
How would you define your style of music? It’s universal. it depends on the beat. Sometimes I rap slow sometimes I rap fast. Sometimes I’m laid back but sometimes I’m crunk. Just like life gives us moods I’m like that with my music. it’s one big variety pack. but at the end of the day I said some real lyrics.

I think real music is coming back very soon. right now hip hop is saturated with fads and gimmicks but everything allways repeats itself so I think this is the perfect time for me to come out.

Where do you see the future of music? : I see myself involved with a lot more people in the industry and making more money off what I love. music

Where do you see yourself in 1 year? : I’m a person who’s never content so I always go after more. I’m street smart as well as book smart. I’m not the typical person who believes everything people say I’d rather research it myself. I only surround myself with people like minded as myself and it’s only a few. I use music to express all my situations I go thru in life and aim to be a lengendary figure breathing or dead who sent the real news to the world. I’m 9MTC
