Black Rose Productions Incorporated (BRPI) is a multi-faceted company with offices in New York, Boston and New Jersey founded by current president, Tito Batista. BRPI is in the business of Publishing, Film and Video Production, Music Production, Web Design and Hosting and Artist Management. Black Rose was established in 1969 with a federal registration United States Trademark Reg. No. 1,214,374. It is located at 409 Rt. 112 in Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. BRPI is directly responsible for the management of several musicians that performed the musical cues for NBC’s Emmy award winning T.V. show, “The Cosby Show”, featuring Bill Cosby and is directly responsible for Robert Gallo¿s music and television career through Bill Cosby. BRPI has previously held a fifteen-year publishing relationship with BMG Music Publishing Hong Kong Global, Japan and Holland and consists of over two thousand titles in all genres of music, including Pop, Jazz, R&B, Rock, Hip Hop, Rap, Blues, Gospel, Reggae, and Country. Black Rose also managed, published and produced the artist and sound tracks utilized in the playboy video ‘The Girls of Rock n Roll’ on Hot Rocks on the Playboy channel. BRPI is responsible for the number one record released on PolyGram, ‘Only Love’, by Vivian Chow, as well as ‘Ready Or Not’ by Yolanda Yang, which reached #1 in Hong Kong and China and Achieved Double Platinum status.
BRPI is currently managing Bulldog Evans Records LLC in the procurement, promotion and licensing of several artists, including Gor, Lance Koonah,Ana Guigui, Danny James, Zimba and many new and upcoming artists. BRPI is also releasing a new album produced by John Pandalfo with songwriter Roger T. Evans featuring the lead vocalist Brent Carter, former lead singer of Tower of Power. Tito Batista is an advocate for minority students and all students seeking higher education in the business of music. How did you get that name? Black Rose is a trademark with the federal registration #1214374 registered October 26, 1980. First use August 26, 1977 in common law November 13, 1977. No one is authorized to use that federal registration without the written consent and licensing agreement through Black Rose Productions Inc and its president and owner of Black Rose, Tito Batista. What has been your biggest accomplishment? The procurement of a publishing relationship between Black Rose Productions Inc and BMG music publishing (Hong Kong Global, Japan, Holland). Publishing nearly 2,000 titles through that previous association.
What has been your most difficult challenge? Remaining a cutting-edge company during the proliferation of digital technology and the free distribution of artists’ intellectual properties through that media.

What projects are you working on? The Release of a new album Black Rose featuring Brent Carter former lead singer of Tower of Power. This is an R&B album with a truly incredible vocalist covering the songs written by Bulldog Evans and produced by Black Rose Productions Inc by musical producer John Pandolfo. How Long have you been making music? : Tito Batista president of Black Rose Productions Inc and the owner of Black Rose the band and trademark has been a guitar player/lead singer for over 40 years. Tito Batista has been a musical producer and publisher since 1981.
What artists inspire you? I was first inspired by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, The Tutles, The Kinks, The Doors, The Eagles, Foreigner, The Vanilla Fudge, The Young Rascals, Jimi Hendrix, Traffic, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Amy Whinehouse, Whitney Houston etc.
How would you define your style of music? Black Rose prides itself in all styles and genres of music. Material must be tasteful, smooth, with great vocals, strong dynamics, and well executed. Only live musicians please!
What teams are you affiliated with? : We are not affiliated to any sports teams but we are affiliated with BMI, ASCAP, and previously BMG music publishing. Above all the teams of attorneys representing Black Rose Productions Inc and the on-going and unlawful use of our federal trademark Black Rose by many imitators with total disregard of copyright law.
Who are some artists that you have worked with? We have managed the musical group Eclipse. The group of musicians performing the cues for the NBC Emmy Award winning TV show The Cosbys.
