DJ JUNIOR TEC

Latino sensation DJ Junior Tec began his main stream deejay career in the late 90’s at a strip club in the Bronx called ‘The Play House Of New York’. The owner of the club heard from other resident DJ’s that Junior Tec was selling his blend tapes at the car wash down the block. Within a week later the owner hired him for one night a week, which later lead to two nights a week. After a few weeks he began to deejay for two popular after-hour clubs called ‘After Dark’ & ‘The Back Door’.

While working at ‘The Play House Of New York’, DJ Junior Tec met many industry professionals including rappers actors, and other club owners. At this time he met the manager of ‘Skate Key’ and began to spin at the popular skating rink located in New York City; in the South Bronx. ‘Skate Key’ which later changed its name to ‘The Key Skate & Dance Center’, just moved from Allerton avenue in the Bronx, to 138th street and the manager was searching for someone who was very popular in the street. Someone who had a large club following, and could spin all forms of music.DJ JuniorTec was one of the first DJ’s in New York to introduce the ‘Reggaeton Music’ movement, and became ‘The Keys’ Friday night DJ, drawing more than nine hundred, to one thousand patrons weekly.

After ‘The Play House Of New York’ closed down, it was reopened as a bar called ‘V.I.P.’s Sports Bar’. DJ Junior Tec began to spin there as well as many other clubs like ‘Sue’s Rendezvous’, ‘Club Hollywood’, ‘Rumba’s’, ‘Jimmy’s Cafe’, ‘The Jet Set’, ‘Club Carbon’, ‘MiGente cafe’, ‘Club Exit’, ‘Latin Quarters’, ‘Riddlers Cafe’, ‘Taboo’, Club ‘Hush’, ‘Tight Rack’ , ‘Element’,and many other popular clubs thru-out the city.

In 2000 DJ junior Tec submitted pre-recorded shows for various radio stations like ‘Sirius Satellite Radio’, ‘La Mega’, and  a few underground stations like ‘89.1 fm’ and 91.9 fm. As a result of his success in the ‘Mix-Tape’ & Radio circuit, DJ Junior Tec found himself traveling with many Artist such as Cuban Link, Jadakiss, Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, The Game, Mya, and many other popular artist around the world.

Currently DJ Junior Tec is still one of the highest selling ‘Mix-Tape DJs’ in the country. His ‘Blend Remixes’ and ghost production of many popular industry beats, have paved a strong buzz for album sales in the near future. He is considered one of the greatest influences and pioneer’s of the urban hip
