Where can we hear your stuff? You can hear my music on soundclick.com.  I’m always in the top 1,000 on the hip-hop/r&b charts.  You can also hear it on the myspace page.  We just put together a mixtape featuring 14 tracks with other artists on Soundclick.com.  Mixtape is titled ‘Key to the State.’  Really just trying to get the music out.

How did you get that name? Whenever I freestyled or put down a verse on a song, the reaction most people would say, ‘damn that’s disgusting.’  People sometimes get offended by the stuff I say, I curse a lot, and say whatever is on my mind, so people may get disgusted.  Hence the name.  I just ran with disgusted, changed the first s to a z, and capitalized the first and last d.  It seems like everyone has a ‘young’ before their name now, young jeezy, youngjoc, youngdro, youngbuck…on and on.  Or a ‘lil’, lil wayne, lil wyte, lil boosie, blah blah, tried to do something original.  DizgusteD.

What has been your biggest accomplishment? My music related accomplishment would have to be finally completing a mixtape, and being able to collab with other artists that are equally talented.  I feel like we have 14 solid tracks that are so versatile, and hopefully will bring back hip-hop to what it should be.  Not something so commercial and ‘poppy’, or something that focuses on just money and jewelry.  What happened to all the rappers with actual lyrical talent??

What has been your most difficult challenge? The hardest thing is trying to get your music out.  You know your good, and have talent, and bring something different, but how do you get people to hear it?  In addition to that, creating songs with the little amount of equipment I have.  I have a laptop and inexpensive mic, my room is far from a ‘studio quality’ room.  However, I feel like I do my best to produce the best quality songs with what I have.

What makes you different? Well, I am to be proper, caucasian.  Originally from Queens, NY, but I’ve lived in Orlando, FL for about 15 years.  My style is a cross between a rapper you would hear in NY and someone you would also hear down south.  In other words, I can bring both types of styles to a track.  I have an up north accent, which really comes out when I spit.  On the majority of my tracks, my emotion is certainly prevalent, without goofing around, I just spit straight hard lyrics with no bullshit.  As opposed to other white rappers, like Eminem and now Asher Roth, there style has turned more comedic.

With the two artists I collab with the most, Sacred and FastLane, on another CD.  In addition to music, I love to write, so I’m actually working on a screenplay.  I also write for my school’s newspaper and magazine.

Where are you from originally? I was born in Queens, NY.  Then moved to New Brunswick, NJ.  I moved to Orlando, FL in the early 90’s and have lived here ever since.

How Long have you been making music? I really started to get into rap during the mid to late 90’s.  I started making music in 2002, right after I graduated highschool.  So I’ve been making music for about 7 years.

What artists inspire you? The artists that have inspired me throughout the years are Biggie, Nas, Eminem, Jay-Z, Jadakiss, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye, Mobb Deep, Method Man, Ludacris, and T.I.

How would you define your style of music? My style of music is all about pure hip-hop.  A cross between Eminem, Nas, and Biggie.  I rap about real shit going on in this world.  Try to enlighten people about problems or what I think needs to change in order to create more positive.  I don’t focus solely on rapping about money, jewelry, guns, or material things that seem to flood most artists songs.  I’m also not too commercial or pop-oriented.  The beats I choose to work with are hard, but catchy.  My voice is distinctive, my emotion definitely comes through my music, and my lyrics are intelligent and catchy.

What teams are you affiliated with? I’m not affiliated with any teams right now.  I collab with artists through soundclick.com.  The two artists I collab with the most are Sacred and FastLane.

Who are some artists that you have worked with? I’ve worked with artists directly through soundclick.com.  I’ve worked with producers such as Epik, Sinima Beats, and Rock It Productions.  Rock It Productions has been featured on numerous video game soundtracks, such as ‘NBA Street.’  Most of the artists I’ve worked with are all underground.

Who would you like to collab with? My dream collab would be with someone like Nas, Lupe, or Eminem.  Ideally, I would collab with anyone who has talent and has the same vision for hip hop as me.

Where do you see the future of music? The future of music is definitely moving toward the internet.  There’s a possibility that soon enough there will no longer be CD’s out.  You will just have to get all your music  through channels such as iTunes.

Where do you see yourself in 1 year? In one year I will be done with school.  I’ll be writing for hopefully a magazine or newspaper.  As far as my music, I definitely think more people will have heard it, we will definitely have another mixtape out.

Describe yourself in one word: Creative.
