My first contact with NVD photography was early this year after getting a message from Jay, one half of NVD, asking me to check his work out. It was his humble and persistent approach that led me to his page. I was impressed with the quality and effects that NVD used on their photos. With so many photographers nowadays its hard to find one that has their own niche. NVD’s pictures seem to have a way of speaking to you and drawing your attention exactly to where they want it. NVD, which actually reads as envied, is also an acronym for New Version of Diversity. Comprised of long term friends Jay Fernandez and D. Velasques who both came from NY and NJ, the duos talents don’t end in just photography. They have a sister company called Fresh 4 Da Bloc designs that specializes in custom web designs, graphics, videography and more. They enjoy working with independent models and music artists who are looking for an “out of the box” approach to modern and trendy visuals to take them to the next level in their career. I have personally been on a few shoots with Jay and D.V. and must say that their level of professionalism and creativeness is well up there with some of the best photographers I have ever worked with.
