How did you get that name?: Good Money is a saying we use it means straight or cool or alright…Like if you just finished eating and your stuffed you would say ‘Im good money, Im about to go smoke a cigarette’ or ‘that verse you laid was good money’ or ‘Shorty’s ass is good money’

What has been your biggest accomplishment?: We haven’t accomplished it yet

What has been your most difficult challenge?: The most difficult challenge is getting your music heard when nobody really knows who you are

What makes you different?: Our music is different because its lyrical and edgy with no gimmicks, but most of all its honest and creative. We are carrying the tradition of hip hop from the 90s

What projects are you working on?: Red Clay’s solo mixtape is out now (available on our website and www.datpiff.com), the Good Money mixtape titled ‘He’s The Smoker, I’m The Drinker’ is almost finished as well as the debut album ‘The Grind’. Red Clay is also working on a solo EP titled ‘I am Jimmy Jump’ and Mr. West is currently working on an untitled project as well.

Where are you from originally? : Red Clay claims Charlotte, NC. He was born in San Francisco, has lived in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Maryland as well. Mr. West was born in raised in Norfolk, VA and has lived in Charlotte, NC as well.

How Long have you been making music? : We have been doing this for a very long time.

What artists inspire you? : Our families, as well as in the words of Diamond D ‘Stunts, Blunts and Hip Hop’

How would you define your style of music? : Our style is pretty diverse, like a mixture of all subgenres of hip hop. Mostly hardcore, we’ve been compared to early Mobb Deep with our own twist.

What teams are you affiliated with? : We are affiliated with producer Nottz Raw’s Raw Koncept as well as Right Arm Music Group which was founded by Nate Pitts and former Roc-a-fella recording artist Rell

Who are some artists that you have worked with? : Nottz Raw, Khizman the Trophy Winner, Bad Newz, Snoop Dogg, Adina Howard, Kardinal, Da Hardy Boyz, Kash Kastro, Rell, Ron Royal, The Fleet, the list goes on and on and on

Where do you see the future of music? : Its going to a more honest place. Artist were making majority of the money for shows and appearances anyway and now with the declining of CD sales your fan base is grow based on live performances and fan interaction. We put on a great live show and we are friends with our fans, they genuinely like us and i think thats a plus.

Where do you see yourself in 1 year? : Next year we are traveling the globe
