New York Duo, Paperchase Clique, Back With Their Second Album, “The Deal”

Queens’ own  B.Bless and K.blake of Paperchase Clique, are among NY’s finest emcees. With hits such as “Blowin’ on Jamaica” and “Shorty Bring it Back” the dynamic duo is definitely showing the world that they are on a mission to bring the east coast out of obscurity and thrust it back into the forefront of the rap game. In 2008 they released their first CD “The Proposal”.  Now they are back with its sequel, “The Deal” on independent label Blue Pie Records. Paperchase Clique’s lead singles “Shorty Bring it Back” and “Blowin on Jamaica” are off their new CD “The Deal”.

They have a high tech, eclectic, crazed, in-your-face, eye- opening rhythms.  You need to pay attention to these two!!!  Their songs are a powerhouse in regards to their attention grabbing arrangements.  They use major effects as well as using synthesizers to get their points across.  The singles have had a high rate of plays on local radio stations along with internet radio, and the reason is simple – they make music you want to hear.  Their songs are very radio friendly, memorable and sustainable.  They have catchy beats, catchy verses and are high octane.

Friends since childhood, K.blake or “Blake” as he likes to be called and B.Bless, began writing rap songs in their adolescent years. So it’s no wonder that just over a decade later they started their own label (Paperchase Entertainment) and dropped their first album “The Proposal.” With a combination of styles and flows developed over many years of listening to and internalizing the songs recorded by legends such as, The Notorious Big, Nas, Big Pun and Jay-Z. “The Proposal,” though mildly successful, proved to be a triumph for the underground hip-hop and rap cultures. However, needless to say, gaining mild success was not the goal of these two hip-hop artists. They had bigger dreams and a burning desire to see them realized. Even with their Hit “Blowin on Jamaica” being featured on New York’s Power 105.1 New N.Y. show, and receiving an immense viral buzz, Blake and Bless still feel there is more work to be done. “We are trying to be globally known and locally respected; we got the local part down”  the rapper Bless states.

Paperchase Clique is back with their LP entitled “The Deal”, and this time around they plan to give the game even more of what its been missing, which is that unique hip hop flavor. In an industry dominated by hooks and beats, real hip-hop in the form of metaphors and punch lines has taken a backseat to “ABC” lyrics. However, “The Deal” will prove that hip-hop isn’t dead; it’s alive and well in Paperchase Clique.

“The Deal” album, is available at all online digital retailers. Paperchase Clique is distributed worldwide by Blue Pie records.
