Return To Form For Benzino, Drops “Caezar” Mixtape

Boston bred Emcee Benzino is back with a mixtape that hits hard and is fresh for the streets. Amongst the tracks are “This World Is Mine” which sees Zino rhyme over a known Nas beat, “Streets Is Talkin” and “Bmerz Out Benz Out” are solid returns to form, and songs like “Goodtimez” are feel good music that recent Hip Hop releases tend to lack. The title track “Caezar” contains disses at Eminem, and Shady Records, which although is an old beef, the lyrics do have some meaning, would Bad Meets Evil really have been a success without Bruno? who knows. Either way, the Mixtape is a strong comeback from raps businessman.

A press statement issued this week says that Benzino intends for Caezar to be one of the last aggressive feature length projects that he will release. Also apparently he is already busy recording a new style of Hip Hop he is calling “Vegas Music,” for his next album project. “The whole vibe of CAEZAR is progression and stepping up as far as music and lyrics go. I’ve been working on this for a while, so it’s all about stepping up my lyrics, beats, everything… Everything’s about progress and I feel like this is the best music I’ve done in a long time,” says Benzino.
