Tre-Dot’s mission is to bring forth a breath of fresh air to a hip-hop climate that has become heavily polluted. His music is a gumbo mixture of ecclectic east coast flair mixed with a down south feel with a touch of west coast vibe. This sound has become popular with many hip-hop fans across the country that have grown tired and dissapointed the repetition of mainstream radio and video shows. He’s been featured on over 60 mixtapes so far this year and his video ‘Put Ya Hands Up’ was viewed over 1,000 times within its first week posted and is currently on its way to 6,000. Airplay from internet and XM radio has been consistent thanks to djs and shows such as DJ Bedz, The Primetime Hip-Hop Show, Prop Joe Radio Show, WSUP Radio, and a few others. This airplay has stretched to places are far as Japan, Kansas, Kentucky, etc. As a result of his building buzz the first official podcast dedicated to his work that was aired on The Richard Cranium Show was the 2nd most downloaded show after only 2 days! This would eventually lead to his current show, ‘Tha Hood Monsta Show’ on www.richardcraniumradio.com. His first mixtape Carolina Boss was released and hosted by DJ Prince of G-Unit Dumout and was well received by fans and critics alike. A remix to the single ‘Put Ya Hands Up’ was done by Jackel Hyde of Germany and the single ‘If I Love U’ won a NC contest for a week for best single as voted by fans on myspace. Other singles receiving airplay are ‘Put That Iron On Em’, ‘F the World’, ‘So Much’, ‘Somebody Loves U’, ‘Superstar’ and ‘It’s Over.’ The album ‘Carolina Feel Good Music’ will be released digitally around November 18 2008 after the mixtapes ‘Thru the Eyes of A Prisoner’ and ‘Introducing Corey Bezel are released as free downloads. The latter was downloaded over 700 times on its night of release and still moving well while the former will be released by November 1. Features and interviews were done by such media outlets as the Nanci O Radio Show, White Label Magazine, Bubble Shake Magazine, Crunk Magazine, Sleeper Cell, and a few more coming as you read this. Production is mostly handled by Joe Burn ‘Em of Pennsylvania with work also done by Slimstrumentalz, Devaron and Nebolous Entertainment, DJ Elite, Dj Anaconda, and Bruse Wayne while engineering duties are being handled mostly by Yaqub of Maryland.

How did you get that name?
TRE-DOT IS THE REPRESENTATION OF THREE DOTS AT THE END OF A STATEMENT TO REPRESENT NEVER ENDING. THIS WAS DEEMED APPROPRIATE BECAUSE AS A MAN AND AN ARTIST MY FOCUS IS ON A CERTAIN GOAL AND STOPPIN IS NEVER AN OPTION
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
RELEASING THE MIXTAPE ‘INTRODUCING COREY BEZEL’ AND WITNESSING OVER 700 DOWNLOADS ON THATCRACK.COM ON THE FIRST NIGHT POSTED AND STARTING MY OWN RADIO SHOW IN THE SAME WEEK; HOOD MONSTA RADIO.
What has been your most difficult challenge?
COMING INTO THE GAME AS AN ARTIST AFTER A FIVE YEAR LAYOFF AND BALANCING LIFE AND CAREER
What makes you different?
MY LYRICAL FOCUS IS FROM A GROWN MAN PERSPECTIVE EXPRESSING MYSELF USING A VARIETY OF EXPERIENCES THAT HAVE SHAPED ME AS I’VE DEVELOPED. WHAT IS CONSIDERED THE NORM ISN’T USED AS A BLUEPRINT NOR IS WHAT THE MEDIA CLAIMS TO BE ACCEPTABLE. BEING FROM NEW YORK I HAVE A CERTAIN FLAIR AND FROM LIVING IN THE SOUTH THAT DEEP SOUL IS ALSO FELT.
What projects are you working on?
ANOTHER MIXTAPE ‘THRU THE EYES OF A PRISONER’ WILL DROP NEXT WEEK AND A VIDEO WILL BE SHOT FOR THE SINGLE ‘IN LOVE AGAIN’ NOVEMBER 15 THREE DAYS BEFORE THE DIGITAL RELEASE OF THE ALBUM ‘CAROLINA FEEL GOOD MUSIC’ VOL 1. Where do you see the future of music?
I SEE GREAT THINGS BUT IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT. IF WE’RE SMART WE’LL CAPITALIZE OFF OF THE DIGITAL ERA. STYLES OF ARTISTS LIKE MYSELF MAY BE LOOKED AT DIFFERENTLY AND SCARE LABELS AWAY FROM INVESTING BUT NUMBERS DON’T LIE. DIGITALLY THESE NUMBERS CAN HAPPEN. THERE’S A WORLD OF CORPORATE AMERICA THAT STILL LOVES HIP-HOP BUT NOT WHAT’S ON THE RADIO. I’M BRINGIN THAT FEEL WHICH WILL BE THE FUTURE. IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE, IT’S TIME FOR SOME SOUL SEARCHING AND MUSIC HAS BEEN A HUGE PLAYER IN ANY FORM OF REBELLION OR TRANSFORMATION
Where do you see yourself in 1 year? : NEXT YEAR THIS TIME I’LL BE ALMOST DONE WITH MY DEGREE AND HOPEFULLY ON MY FOURTH OR FIFTH ALBUM AND TOURING CONSISTENTLY. HAVE A FEW TV OPPORTUNITIES ON THE WORKS AND MY RADIO SHOW WILL HOPEFULLY BE IN SYNDICATION
Describe yourself in one word.
