Carmen
Born in Caracas, Venezuela on February 1st, 1986. Carmen Colmenares lived her childhood there until the age of 11. She moved with her parents to Weston, Florida on February 15th, 1997, where she still resides.
She attended American Heritage High School where she learned the English language.
Very active through out her school years, she participated in dancing, ballet, hip-hop, and drama classes, as wells as a starring role in soccer and track team.
At the age of 15, she took an interest in modeling when the manager of a local high fashion store (Kush) in south Florida, asked if she could be one of the models to show off the store’s clothes.
As a senior in Cypress Bay High, she was passionately involved in chorus where she had the opportunity to sing at Disney’s Epcot on December 2003 at the “Candlelight Concert”. It was a spectacular performance given in front of 5,000 people followed by their magical fireworks.
With her love of entertaining, she then choreographed her school’s “Fashion Show’’, where she displayed her talents, both in dancing and modeling.
On June 8th, 2004, she graduated Cypress Bay High School and started working on her “look”.
With inspirations from Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford and several others, is when she decided to come back full throttle into the modeling industry.
That’s when she met with her current manager and photographer MarQuest to make arrangements into really pursuing her modeling career. Recently, she had a photo shoot with him in Orlando, Florida, which really opened up her eyes to new and exciting experiences.
Her next step is to be recognized for her hard work and aspirations and hopefully have a contract with a fashion magazine company to expand her goals of becoming a successful model.
Carmen’s favorite quotes:
“If anyone speaks badly of you, live so that none will believe it!”
“Do what you can, for who you can, with what you have, and where you are.”
