Countercult intends to break into the mainstream by breaking boundaries with their mesh of hip-hop, rock, techno and metal.
“We’re bringing all the best elements of various genres, while keeping it unique,” said Steve Fiction, guitarist for the newly formed Florida-based trio. “It’s music without prejudice.”
The core includes Puerto Rican/Italian lyricist/producer REDDIRAY. Steve Fiction, guitarist/producer and a native South Floridian of German descent and vocalist J-Cee, a South African singer who lives in Plantation, FL. At live shows, the guys are joined by an eight-piece backup band with live DJ combining and meshing a futuristic hip hop feel with a hardcore live act.
Countercult is currently in production traveling the State of Florida from Miami to Orlando recording music with multi-platinum producers such as ChadBeatz of G Unit, The Diaz Brothers and many more from both Rock and Hip Hop genres.
“When I was approached to create a band I had a feeling we were on something big!” said REDDIRAY. “The energy behind us is incredible!.”
Countercult is expected to go on tour as early as Spring 2009.
