British Hip-Hop outfit Credit To The Nation have called on Chuck D from Public Enemy to help them ring the alarm, in a new effort to speak to the nation through a huge new street anthem called “RTA” about poverty, greed, politics and power.
Back in the 90s Credit To The Nation were much like Public Enemy, an out-spoken rap band that targeted flaws within the music industry and government. The new song “RTA”, which sounds like they have fused elements of Rock, comes at a time when nobody else is really speaking out, apart from Kanye, who is stuck in a time warp unfortunately. Although this probably won’t get the mainstream acclaim it deserves, the band have been AWOL for more than a decade, the song really does speak aloud, and is an inspiring number.
Let’s hope Credit To The Nation don’t leave again swiftly and continue to drop more hardcore rap jams like this, as they certainly still have something to say! 4/5!
