How did you get that name?: I gave myself this name when I was 14 years old and came up with the meaning a few years later. ‘Dez Nado’ is an acronym for ‘the Definition of Effort and Zeal iN Ambition and Dedication to Opportunity’.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?: I’d say it would have to be between opening up for Pleasure P for my 21st birthday in Jacksonville and 1500 first day downloads of my latest project ‘No Hands’. Surviving 23 years in DUVAL FLORIDA has been a pretty big accomplishment as well, though.

What has been your most difficult challenge?: The most difficult challenge I’ve ever faced is being successful in an unsuccessful market, finding productivity in an unproductive economy, and continuing to dream without sleeping.

What makes you different?: The first thing you hear/see about me…my name. Other than that, the lifestyle that my name is derived from, my ambition, my music, and my grind.

What projects are you working on?: I just completed my latest mixtape ‘No Hands’, mixed by myself and Melle Mel of 250 plus productions. This mixtape is already my most successful one thus far and is generating a crazy buzz. I’m currently planning on dropping ‘No Hands Volume 2’ around mid-December and a DVD project featuring a ‘Making of…No Hands’ type of documentary that will be available around Spring Break 2011.

Where are you from originally? : Born and raised in the county of DUVAL, Florida, which is Jacksonville, home of the Jaguars, the greatest team in the history of the NFL. Probably the NBA too. And they don’t even play basketball.

How Long have you been making music? : I’ve been rapping since 1998, making beats since 2000, been serious about it since 2005, and I’ve been a CEO since I popped out the womb.

What artists inspire you? : Good music, good businesspeople, hatred, love, good movies, and soulja boy.

How would you define your style of music? : A mix of the rappers and producers I looked up to when I was coming up and something on the border of sobriety, insanity, and brilliance.

What teams are you affiliated with? : I’m affiliated solely with the Infamous VIP, also known as the VIPSquad.

Who would you like to collab with? : 2pac and Biggie, Big L, Big Pun, Bone Thugs, Outkast, Nas, Dre, Em, Wayne, Jigga, Tip, Luda, pretty much any and everybody making GOOD music. I want to be the first rapper to get on a song with every rapper alive.

Where do you see the future of music? : 10 years ago it was 80 percent mainstream industry, 20 percent independent music, and in the future I see it as the opposite. Either the major music industry will be non-existant or will be irrelevant compared to the amount of independent success, which is how it should be.

Where do you see yourself in 1 year? : I see myself 1 year wiser, 1 year richer, and exactly where I want to be. Where is that? Stay tuned…
