Fidel Cashflow

Who is Fidel Cashflow? An Artist. A man. A Father. A brother. An emcee. A poet. A businessman. A producer. An entrepaneur. A friend. An entertainer. A very buisy person.

How long have you been involved in the music industry? All my life. Since I was born, I was determined to have the spotlight. In late 1999 I started Pure Cash Entertainment and have been independent since.

What made you start your own label? Commitment, tax purposes, and dedication.

What are the pros and cons of running your own label? Pros:You have total say in what goes on and what you put out.
Cons: You have to do EVERYTHING! Time is not always on your side.

What have been some of your major accomplishments? Doing a song with Kool G Rap – who was always a great inspiration to me. Opening for Snoop Dogg at House of Blues and meeting his dad, uncle, aunt, cousin Kurupt and Lady of Rage. Seeing the final edited version of my first ever video “Get the Money.”

How did you hook up with Kool G Rap and Snoop Dogg? Actually through myspace. Then we spoke on the phone, I sent him the beat, and next thing you know – I got Kool G Rap on the title track of my first full length album – “Year Of The Hustler.” The Snoop Dogg connect came through my affiliation with Full impact All Stars and Jesse Jazz. Once Backstage- Snoop wanted to get at a few of the girls that were with me, only I had a few stipulations, it was a fun night.

Tell us a little about the Get The Money video. The video was supposed to be more based around the kids. My son is 5, and already enjoys freestyling. One day we were in the car freestyling and I came up with a hook. He memorized it without my knowing, so I decided to make it into a song. There were about 8 kids at the studio to shoot the video and they were just getting out of hand so the shots didn’t come out as I had hoped for. Nonethelesss,  Kunsistent- C, the director used the props and people  that we had brought and shot enough scenes to make it work. It’s a fun video – if you see it you can tell we had lots of fun making it.

Whats one of your least favorite questions you get asked often? Haha. That’s got to be  “Hows the music thing going.” Usually the people that ask that don’t mean any harm, they just don’t understand the life of an independent artist. To me, music is like my therapy. I do it because I love it. It makes me feel good, so my answer to that  question  is always – Its going great!

Who are some producers that you ve worked with?
Swifttraxxz, Dj Shu, Reddi Ray, K Lion,  Monarch, Madd Maxx, Troy Jamz,  Aaron Accetta, Zev One, Domingo, Jacob The Producer and myself.

What project(s) are you currently working on music wise?
Currently pushing the single”Lick Yo Body,” featuring Lady Lyric. It is picking up nicely and getting played all over the world. The video for it will be done shortly. Also just finished a video for “Holding Weight.”  My mixed cd – THE SHOW has been getting a really good response so I am almost ready to start promoting the album “Pentoxicated.” I am also working on my next album. Besides that – our new site www.purecashentertainment.com has launched and is getting lots of hits daily. You can here our newest music on there.
