PCM: Why do you call yourself – The King?
Fidel Cashflow: Well, I never really did before. I had always gone by Fidel Cashflow with the aliases – The Cuban Cowboy, and Cashanova, but my newest alias is “The next Elvis.” Elvis was known as the King, so if all, or shall I say, when it all pans out, my kingdom shall come.

PCM: Why “The next Elvis?”
FC:  For many years rappers have been using the names of mobsters and crime bosses to associate themselves with.  With the way that music is changing, and this new era of Hip Hop, I think it’s important to broaden our minds and dig deeper when we pick our musical content and associations. Elvis is still known as the King and still very relevant. I want to be at that level. 

PCM:  What have you been up to lately since we last caught up with you?
FC: I took part in a cipher that was broadcasted on BET’s rap city, and finished recording my new album called “Pentoxicated, “it should be out by or before Christmas.  I’m also working on a new video with my good friend and Director Kunsistent-C. PCM: What can we expect to hear on your new album?
FC: You can expect to hear real Hip Hop! If you read my blog at myspace.com/purecash, you can get an idea of where I’m at musically. I did this album for me – NOT the people. I just had a lot of fun with it and let my creativity explore new and old territories. Big shouts to S.T.I.X. Da Foreigner for putting up with all my drunken sessions.
