On May 17, 2009 -Movement T.V. & Nomadic Entertainment joined forces to throw the 2nd Annual Zoe Flag Day Celebration/ unity reunion at Lake Fairview Park in Orlando. The annual celebration held in Orlando celebrates Haiti’s national holiday, Haitian Flag Day aka Zoe Flag Day.

Hosted by Movement TV’s Rebel Black and the ProFRESHional Ladies, Zoe Flag Day had over 25 artists and DJ’s in the building. Orlando rapper, 2Shae, was the first up to bat. She also opened up last years show. She performed her hit single “So Jazzy With It”. Only 18 years old, 2shae is one of the brightest young stars on the scene in Orlando. Orlando Hip Hop Award nominee, poet Julie Jade, performed a very motivational poem that had the crowd hanging on her every word. Young Trizz went on stage and this youngster did his thing. He is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most entertaining young rappers in Orange County. Orlando veteran P.I. Bang came out and did his new single and it’ s a heater! Just like 2shae this was his second year performing at the event. Preacher came through and had some very inspirational words for all the artists that came out.

In between the artists sets the DJ’s kept the crowd energy high by playing the best in Kompa, Hip Hop, Reggae and R n B. DJ Coast (All Coast DJS), DJ Mindbender (All Pro DJs), and DJ Tonka (91.5 FM & Slip n Slide DJ) really had the crowd vibing all afternoon long.

Jacksonville rapper, Hyper Optics, came through and repped for Duval County. A very lyrical artist -Hyper Optics was one of the best acts of the day. Orlando veteran P.I. Bang came through and chilled with the Zoes.

The R&B singers were in the building as well. South Florida beauty Ressy Wright came through with a powerful voice and a sexy swagger that had every body asking, who is that girl? The hardest workingwoman in Florida, Tavoria came through and did her thing. When it looked like it was going to rain she grabbed that mic and made sure the party kept going. Tavoria is such a talented singer, rapper, and songwriter. She never disappoints and she did her thing for the Zoe’s that day.

R&B group Status Blak from Detroit came to rep with the Zoes and boy did they put on a show. One second they are dancing and flying through the air the next minute they were serenading the ladies in the crowds with a smooth love song. They appeared on Bet’s Wilding Wed on June 24th.

A lot of Zoe artists came through and they had a lot of energy. They got to perform at an event dedicated to their country and they also had talent. LLK came through and did his singles. H Dot is gaining a reputation in the area as a dangerously talented artist with a mean work ethic. Tony Hood & Alize came through once again and shut it down. They were also @ the 1st Zoe Flag Celebration.

If an award were going to be given out for the best performance arguably that honor would have to go to Polk County rapper G Money Green. He had the crowd’s attention before he even hit the stage! With a huge Haitian Flag waving in the wind behind him the Zoe with all diamonds in his mouth was shining. He did his hit single “hell yeah” and then reminded us to “wear shades’ because his future so bright. G Money Green is a very entertaining artist and his stock is on the rise.

The rains that threatened the event all day finally started coming down with about an hour left in the show. Several notable artists were waiting to perform when the skies opened up. Trexz, M Dot, Kountry, Baldhead Buchanan, Haitian Baby, Love Klub, Wash, Dat Dude, Peril P, and South City Hood Law didn’t get to perform.

“I’m proud of what we did this year,” said Rebel Black, CEO Movement TV. “ There was not one incident, everyone had fun and our goal next year is to make Zoe Flag Day in Orlando one of the biggest Haitian Flag Day celebrations in the country. We started working on next year’s event on May 19th of this year! Next year we plan on bringing much more artists, bands, and poets. We are also planning a clothing & food drive for the people in Haiti.” This event is for everyone. “We invite everyone to celebrate with us because Haiti’s celebration is a celebration of freedom. This event is about unity. Rebel Black said, uniting the artists and the fans is our goal. Next year is going to be a classic, Nah we Movement TV next year we making a movie”,
