This young up in coming producer from Rochester NY has made a name for him self in the upstate New York area. Some people may remember the 2006 cd (Jay Quest vs 9th wonder) that made lots of noise and had mc’s all over Rochester,Buffalo and Syracuse New York talking and wondering who new kid was because of his grimy New York style and his raw gritty soulful sound and hard hitting drums. The cd had received over 12 write ups in magazines.

How did you get that name?
my name was giving to me back in 8th grade i use to go by the name(the quest) when I was rapping when I started to make beats people would always call jay or (jay quest DA kid) so I shorting up the name and called my self jay quest.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
i made my first placement on big shugg’s album other side of the game i did track 15 (keep calling me)
What has been your most difficult challenge?
everything trying to keep my name out you have to always make sure you never get lazy once you slack its like you have to start all over agin from the bottom. and also making sure you keep the music coming and its always hot.
What makes you different?
i always go with what i feel i dont try to sound like the next person.
What projects are you working on?
right now im geting ready to wrap up my complation album (put your headphones on) joints going to be hot im very happy with how its sounding. it will have guest apperences from rapper big pooh,joe scudda, reks,skyzoo, L.i., j hood and many more.
