Julia Beverly

Who is Julia Beverly? Publisher and editor of ozone mag. Freelance photographer and overall hustler – whatever I need to do.

WHat is one of the biggest challenges you ‘ve had to face in regards to the magazine? Financially trying to keep on going on a monthly basis without having a big investor behind me.

What is the most rewarding part of having a magazine? You get  a lot of perks and the opportunity to expose and help out people that are doing things that aren’t being recognized for it.

What is the worst part of having a magazine? The demands on your schedule and constantly having to be working toward a deadline. You cant be late.

Does the love and hate that you receive balance out? Yeah I mean I think I get more love than hate but the hate is just as important.

Are you single or in a relationship? Hmmmm. No comment.

Do you workout? if so whats your routine like? Yeah. I have a trainer. I do a little bit of everything. Sometimes  I play basketball , I do cardio, weights, etc.

Do you get hit on by lots of rappers? Yes.

What is the most indescent proposal that you have been presented with? Wow, I’d have to think about that one. I had an entourage member while I was waiting for an artist to do an interview just stand in front of me and unzip his shorts. He was just standing there  and waiting for me to suck his ____, I walked away, but there’s been a bunch.

What are your favorite things to shop for? I’m not too much into shopping. Probably something major like a car or a house.

What is the most memorable moment that you have had in the past 5 years? Probably something explicit so I wont go into that -but as far as the mag – I would say the Ozone awards – seeing ugk perform, and the fact that we had no drama.

Besides Ozone magazine, are you currently or planning to work on any other ventures? Right now I got my hands full with ozone, I have some other things in the works but its all related to the magazine. I have lots of ideas.

Whats the best way for someone to get a hold of you? Jb @ozonemag.com, and tell me exactly what you want – not your whole life story – be short and to the point.

What advice would you give to independent artists trying to get in your magazine? Be pollite. if you meet me but don’t try to force yourself onto me or anyone and I think that goes for any magazine. If your moving in the right direction we are going to come find you.

Any last words that you would like to leave us with? Ozone awards coming soon . Ozone mag.com and that pretty much it.
