Kadia Deans

Kadia Deans was born in the beautiful Caribbean Island of Jamaica on December 27 1983.  Left to her aunt by her mother who was a struggling singer and her father who had an uncontrollable addiction. Kadia had to grow up fast to take care of herself and her little sister. As a little girl Kadia saw herself doing big things, her struggle to survive made her into what she is today. From going through the emotional mistreatment and neglection from her siblings, she took control of her life early on. Kadia developed survivor skills, remembering the sacrifice to put food on the table for herself and her sister. Kadia developed the mentality that if she doesn’t make it happen, nobody else will.
Early on Kadia knew that she was going to accomplish her goals.  At the age of 10 years old she entered into a modeling contest where she won first place, this was just the beginning of her life. Kadia excelled in school, participating in many school events and sports such as track and field where she competed in the 100 LH, 100 M and she was also part of the relay team. In middle school she was nominated as class representative, where she was able to display her creative talent by putting on talent shows, and showcase her modeling and fashion abilities.
At the age of 15 she was given a contract with a local modeling agency ‘Nabalonge Agency’. This opened doors for her in the local community, where she was selected to participate in local fashion shows and runways. At 16 she was selected as the main model for Big Head Clothing Inc. in which she modeled their new line of work.  Kadia learned that everything she went through was a learning experience, and she never lost hope. Growing up in Jamaica and struggling, Kadia learned about humbleness and nonetheless she worked diligently at everything she desired.
Although strikingly beautiful, Kadia refused to get by on her looks, demanding instead to be judged on her professional abilities. At the age of 18 Kadia moved to Kingston Jamaica where she attended Duffs Business College in which she majored in Business Education. Graduating on top of her class where she received two presidential awards. With her sophistication, cleverness and intelligence she was able to help other educators in preparing her peers in concurring their future challenges.
Throughout Kadia’s struggle to be the best, she maintained a great sense of humor and always demonstrated great energy. At the age of 20, Kadia decided to move to Orlando to explore other opportunities. While she worked two jobs with no advancement she decided to pursue her dream of having a career in modeling. This is when she met her current photographer MarQuest. He inspired Kadia by telling her “by being a positive person, life always comes with a bright future” and he also advised her to always to pursue her dream. It all started coming together at their first photo shoot, when she realized that it could be done. Kadia also realized that its one of the things she was born to do.  From her hard upbringing she knows that she can accomplish any goals, and by succeeding she will be able to help her family back in Jamaica to a better life. Her goal is to become a fashion designer and to inspire other upcoming models into believing that any dream is possible with hard work, patience and diligence.
