The man behind 90s classic anthem “Return of the Mack”, Mark Morrison, has dropped his latest joint ‘I Don’t Want 2 Die’ featuring DMX, as we wait on the release of his new album “I Am What I Am”. The new single symbolizes redemption, belief and most prominently peace, over a smooth melody combined with razor sharp vocals. DMX proves here that he’s putting the last few years behind him, which hopefully means we are about to watch the once titled King of Hip-Hop reclaim his crown. It also serves as the sequel to Morrison’s last single “Innocent Man”, which again featured Dark Man X. “I Don’t Want 2 Die” is the third offering fans have been given from Morrison’s forthcoming 2nd studio album. First was the timely resurrection of Morrison’s silicon chip R&B/Funk oeuvre collects synth-and-voicebox-driven cut “B-Day”, a slick West Coast funk styled number, which paired Morrison with fellow 90’s icon Warren G & Miami rap-princess Trina. Followed by an all-star line-up on “Father Forgive Them”, with the King of the Dancehall Beenie Man, Keith Murray, Black Rob & Crooked I of Slaughterhouse all dropping bars back to back. “I Am What I Am” is scheduled for fall.
