Marcus ‘Mojo’ Dase was born and raised in Laurel, Mississippi. During his High School career he found that music was something he had talent in. At first, he wasn’t serious about the music life since he believe he would have a basketball career. After high school he noticed that basketball wasn’t going to plan out like it could, so he started to become serious about music. He formed a group called SMC ‘So Much Cash’ and produce his first mix-tape ‘ The Mind Of A Hustle’ where it premiered in ‘What’s Hot This Summer’ for the summer hottest Mix-tapes in the magazine ‘Real Talk’. His creative style and unique voice catches the ears of all audiences. He moved to Orlando to give his music more opportunities to shine. While living in Orlando he hooked up with DJ/Producer PeteBeatz from Boston and dropped a mixtape ‘The Preview Vol 1’ that got his name popping in the ‘O.’ He now has his newest album he’s working on now ‘Mojo’ (self titled). How did you get that name?
Haha.. I get that question a lot actually and it usually relates to Mojo JoJo off ‘Power Puff Girl’ or Mojo from ‘Austin Powers’. Lets get the record straight people. I was Mojo before any of that was even thought about aight lol. But Mojo came from just me being me. Mojo is a a type of swag and I’ve always had a different style then everyone else. So i felt like i had that swag and i just started calling myself and it stuck.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
I have to say going back to college and getting my Associates degree in Recording Arts. So yea i would say thats my biggest accomplishment.
What has been your most difficult challenge?
Really everyday life is a challenge. We go through so much just to get what we want and where we’re going, so just making through another day of life is ok with me.
What makes you different?
My ‘Mojo’ lol..! But naw i would have to say my personality and knowledge. When people first see me they my think, o he’s cocky, arrogant or he don’t know nothing. But after they get to know me they see ‘well damn i didn’t expect that from him’ I can say i was blessed with the best of both world’s, street smarts and book smarts.
What projects are you working on?
At the moment im in and out the studio doing show and working on my new MixTape. Shouts out to Young Nutt to mane.

Im originally from Laurel, MS
How Long have you been making music?
Well its crazy cause you know how some people would say i been doing music all my life or since i was a young boi. But i actually didn’t get serious into music after i graduated from highschool.
What artists inspire you?
Well im a certified engineer, so i recorded and mix all types of music. So im inspired by a lot of the known artistes have there own original style.
How would you define your style of music?
My style is like a mixture of everything, downsouth, eastcoast, up north etc. Even tho im from the south I tryda push myself to be able to ride any beat no matter what type of style or vibe it is.

I can say im affiliated with ‘The Affiliates’. I recently did some work with my manes DJ Drama and Grand Hustle on a upcoming mixtape. Also i work with UGM&E.. Wut up Tony!

‘Rocksteady’ out of Philly, ‘ExX’ out of Philly, ‘The HolliBoyz’ out of Detroit ‘Michael Stoke’ out of Orlando, ‘Pete Beatz’ out of Boston and the list goes on mane..

Im down to collab with anyone really man. If they got nice beat with a nice concept im gucci with it.
Where do you see the future of music?
Im still young so i can see much more coming out of my music career.
Where do you see yourself in 1 year?
Hopefully on the stage at the BET Awards or MTV Awards to be honest hahaha..
