Robby Gordon next in line to sue Extenze
Extenze, sponsor of the Sprint Cup Series rookie of the year Kevin Conway, once again called on to play dirty in the arena of sponsored NASCAR – this time from the Robby Gordon Motorsports. According to a story that broke on site celebrity gossip TMZ.com, Gordon has filed a lawsuit against Extenze, because according to him, the company refuses to pay for the sponsorship. Extenze, on the other hand, says Gordon committed a breach of contract, because in some races, Gordon was in the car instead of Conway, the driver Extenze wanted in a car.
According to a statement made by Gordon in LA County Superior Court, Extenze originally agreed Gordon driving the car in some races. He went on to say that Extenze has done a turnaround and then refused to pay for certain competitions, because Conway was not in the race car.
Extenze suing Gordon for $ 690,000. Robby Gordon Motorsports is a NASCAR team second to file suit against Extenze. Conway began the 2010 racing season with Front Row Motorsports, also sponsors Extenze left that organization in the season. The decision was reportedly made by Extenze. Front Row, also claimed he was owed money by the sponsor Conway. In this dispute, Extenze also alleges breach of contract, such contract with Conway racing team stated that they should be driving a car that was a guaranteed first place every weekend of the race – which means that the car should be in the top- 35 in owner points. Conway and Extenze made the move from Front Row to Motorsports Robby Gordon Motorsports in August. Then, in October, Conway said he had paid all that was over Front Row. According to the organization of Front Row, some of the money Extenze had to go to the payment of Conway, but the team was still waiting for the money.
