Former Death Row Records artist, and producer Soopafly today announced the release of a new album tentatively titled Best Kept Secret. Soopafly, who is currently on Tour in Europe with Snoop Dogg, hasn’t set a release date yet, but is expected to release the album this fall.

The official member of Snoop’s group Tha Dogg Pound has worked with a selection of new West Coast talents, for this album. Features will include; Short Khop, Mykestro, Damani, Bad Lucc, J Black, Pilot, Terrace Martin, Toke tha Smoke, Deacon of the Chuuch, Goldie Loc, Maylay & Kokane, with additional production from Daz Dillinger, Tmg Music Group (fly2k prod), Tweet, JellyRoll, 1500, and Dām funk.

Soopafly has released numerous tight records, and featured on many of the west coast classic albums from Snoop Dogg, and Tha Dogg Pound. Best Kept Secret will be Soopafly’s third full length album, not including the album he released in 2008 as a rap group called Dubb Union on Koch/Doggystyle Records. Soopafly is also currently working on new projects by Short Khop, and Latoiya Williams.

The first two tracks to leak from the album are pure heaters, and they bring back that feel good factor that Cali Hip Hop is known for. Soopafly sounds rejuvenated and fresh, with his typical west coast lyrics and monster flow. Expect a big return from one of the most slept on artists in West Coast rap history.
