In a world full of clones the pressure to conform is constant and can become nerve racking for some. In order to survive a man must adapt without confusing himself to who he is and where he finds peace. If the balance is disrupted he can become lost and self-destructive, the Achilles’ heel of the human psyche. Introducing Tha Mic, the return of the true emcee to the hip hop world. “Why U Playin” is an intense record and displays the emotion Tha Mic has for his craft.

Producing locally since 2004, Tha Mic has made a name for quality behind the scenes in his home town of Winnipeg MB Canada. During this time he was also rapping and releasing mixtapes locally creating a small following but never truly pursuing the microphone as his dream. Eventually, the amount of praise and comparisons to hip hop legends made Mic decided to give it a shot but not to be another clone of the water down hip hop industry, but as a fresh face for truth and understanding of what’s real and what’s illusion, in a world already teetering towards self-destruction.
