TREAL

If you haven’t heard of TREAL by now, you either need new friends, or you’re a complete_____!  Now you can fill in the blank yourself because this group that reps hard for Orange County, Orlando Florida has recently been signed to a record deal with Universal Republic Records!  Treal, who has been doing music for eight years now, consists of  Eliseo, Tsick, Cheeze, and Poetic, all of whom used to work together at Taco Bell.  “Thanks Taco Bell,” says RAM, who is the CEO and head of their label -Orange County Committee, and the main one responsible for  making it all come together.  “I hope everybody doesn’t think that it was handed to us,” says Ram, “it took about 5 years for this to happen!”

Treal’s  first song to hit the radio was “Don’t worry ‘bout mine.”  It started with the Clientele party starters and Megacity DJ’s playing it and then bled to the downtown Orlando music scene where DJ Thailo and DJ D-Strong would play it in the clubs. “Next thing you know I got a call from the music director at 102 Jamz  asking for a copy of the song. 15 minutes after I gave her the copy she called me and said we need to meet,” explains RAM.  The next song “I’m not locked down,”  was performed at a show in UCF that Treal did with Pretty Ricky.  After the show, Treal went to see D-Strong at club Icon and let him hear an unmixed version of the song. D strong immediately played it and the club loved it! 3 days later, DJ D-Strong put it in his mix show on 102 Jamz and the song got requested by radio personality Tony C who was on the competing radio station 95.3. Both D-Strong and Tony C presented it to their program directors and they both loved it and put it in rotation.  “That was the quickest I’ve ever seen anything move in the industry, “says Ram.

“It’s been a long, hard, arguing, high five, laughing, depressing, exciting and rough road,” says Ram of the past 8 years, who gives Treal “hella props,” for staying together and keeping focused. “Because they are four different personalities and you have to deal with each one differently, at times it was very hard and other times very easy,” adds Ram. “We did it in Orlando, and we WILL do it nationwide,” says Ram, who insists that we can expect “hit after hit after hit. They are really in the zone right now.”

Ram began as a producer who started working on his own music in 1997 when he moved back to Orlando from Buffalo, NY, where he also played drums. In 1999 his nephew “Tsick,” moved back to Orlando from New Orleans.  As time would have it, Ram would record the boys in his two bedroom apartment.  He was always in the studio with them and never forgets what Eliseo told him  the first time they met: “Man, if you give me  chance, I promise you won’t be sorry.” Many years later, Ram has begun to see the success of his hard work with Treal being signed, and his other artists/ groups : 4 DA O (rap group), Earl B.  (singer), and BackRive (rock group) developing well.

As far as paid or promo shows, currently Treal is doing promo shows in areas where they are not yet known yet or for radio stations, but everyone else better “get your checkbook,” says Ram, who feels like Krishna (God) has things worked out for him “just the way he wants.” As for the business side of things, The Orange County Committee Board consists of Ishana Ribiero, Jamal Aleem, Burlin Webser, Gary Ricketts and the Head of their publishing company -Kevin Aleem.

It’s great to see such great talent coming together right here in Orlando, and we here at Pure Cash Magazine wish Treal the best of luck for many years to come! Before signing out I would like to leave you with the final words from Ram:  “Thanks to Clay D. for everything. I’m building a space shuttle just for you my dawg!
