UK R&B Group The Risk (@theriskoffic) Whets Appetites With Hot New Video

New UK R&B boy band The Risk are cultivating their RnB-pop style with the video to their hot new single “Peaches & Cream”, a cover version of the classic record by former Bad Boy Records group 112.

It’s not often we feature acts that are birthed from TV. But after hearing this record, and watching the video, something tells us that the guys are a group in their own right without the immediate machinery that comes with being on a popular TV show. The X Factor contestants whose real names are Charlie Healy, Andy Merry, Derry Mensah and Ashford Campbell, come after JLS, who were another group from the TV show and have sold over 10 million records worldwide. The Risk seeming a little more contemporary, retro and I guess ‘realer’ than the later.

“Peaches & Cream” is a track placed more on the electro area of the R&B spectrum. It is a celebratory track to get their fans dancing, and leave them with the sense of wanting more. They have kept the original format of the 112′ record that dominated R&B charts over 10 years ago, but making it their own with a more current delivery and instrumentation. Each of the guys held their own, without any one member standing out, which could be the making of another classic group ala Silk, or Boyz 2 Men!

As we mentioned earlier, this leaves you wanting more. Stay posted to @theriskoffic and @IMAltd1 for more on the guys!
