WHO IS FIDEL CASHFLOW ?

fc

He was born in Spanish Harlem, New York City under the Scorpion moon to a Cuban mother, Peruvian father, and never met his dad’s side of the family.  At age 8, his mother packed up and moved into an apartment on Jamaica Ave. and 150 St. in Queens, NY.  She remarried when he was 5. His new step dad and him had many issues. At the young age of 14, circumstances led him to move out of his home.  Forced to grow up early, his street friends became his second family.  During this time, house parties were popping up everywhere and playing the newest music from artists like Kool G. Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Special Ed, LL Cool J, and Slick Rick just to name a few. Amazed at the way this new culture he was introduced to called Hip Hop made him feel, he began molding his own words together. It was both a work of art and a sort of stress reliever at the same time. Armed with this new way to vent his frustrations, communicate desires and chronicle events, a star was born. He and his friends formed a group called Justus and performed all over NYC. In 2000 he relocated to Orlando, Florida due to events beyond his control. The pace was much slower. It was a different world altogether. In 2001 he became a new dad. Never did he envision that his life would be so different after that.  He soon created Pure Cash Entertainment, his own record label and signed his first two artists- Lady Lyric and Durt Po. ASCAP accepted him as both a writer and a publisher under the name Pure Cash Music. Fueled with more purpose and reason to accomplish all of his goals, he put out his first solo album, Alias, which he half produced, fully wrote and recorded himself.  After receiving great feedback from everyone that heard it he began recording at a very rapid and consistent pace. Many releases followed including Got Cash?, Faces Of Cash, Year Of The Hustler, Pentoxicated, The Show, Indie’n Ice, and more. Vivid, live and energy filled stage shows set the pace that presented him with opportunities to perform alongside popular artists such as Snoop Dogg, Rakim, Twista, Kool G. Rap and Pitbull just to name a few. The Queens-bred emcee has received considerable coverage in The Orlando Weekly, OZONE Magazine, Orlando Sentinel, Hip Hop Weekly, Foundation Magazine, DJ Booth.net, BET’s Rap City, World Star Hip Hop, Digiwaxx, Impact Press and of course Pure Cash Magazine. He has had his music played in just about every country and been featured on over 50 mixtapes worldwide. In 2008 he created a new way of exposing himself and his record label with Pure Cash Magazine.  Spotlighting independent artists and models in the magazine has opened up many new doors and opportunities and served as a great form of inspiration for new concepts. Currently, he has a discography of 4 studio albums, 5 mixtapes, 6 videos and a library of over 300 songs and freestyles. Indie’n Fire, his latest album scheduled for release in August of 2009, sets a mature and revolutionized tone of what he believes real hip hop should sound like. A more personal album than his previous works, Indie’n Fire elaborates on topics deeply rooted to the struggles, successes, adventures and obstacles that independent artists encounter on the long and bumpy road to stardom. Fidel Cashflow, aka The Cuban Cowboy, CEO of Pure Cash Entertainment and Pure Cash Magazine is no stranger to heavy hustle and constant grind. He breaks down his name as such: Frankly I Do Everything Luxurious Cesar Always Spits Hot Flow. He is an artist, writer, poet, performer, editor, publisher, father, son, brother, and overall businessman who understands and truly believes that if you want something bad enough, do whatever it takes and don’t give up on your journey to get it, it will be yours.
