Ben-G is the stage name of rapper Khalique Welch.  He was discovered by producer Mr. Shaff through a mutual associate in his hometown of Orlando, FL. “Ben- G has that superstar appeal, I could pick him out of a crowd of thousands” says Shaff. “He gives you the best of both worlds lyrically, he has an up north flow and lyrics with  down south flavor”.  Ben-G is inspired by some of Hip-Hops most creative, such as Wu-tangs ODB, Busta Rhymes and Nas to name a few.  Ben-G has also opened up for Young Jeezy, Haitian Fresh, Lil Boosie, Plies and have been asked  to open for the Shop Boyz on their Canadian tour in Feb 08.  Ben-G has done various shows throughout Florida, Georgia and New York.  Ben- G built a strong reputation and eager following throughout the southeast through mixtapes. During this time, he and Shaff recorded his first single “Pump ya Breakz”. This song made a strong statement within the underground community, being one of November’s most requested song on pirate radio stations across the southeast.  Ben-G has also landed a feature on his latest song titled “I like your Girlfriend” featuring Making the Band 4’sMakio. Ben- G’s second single and most anticipated to date, “I like ur Girlfriend,” is creating quite a buzz througout Florida, Boston, Atlanta, Alabama.  With the success of “Pump ya Breakz” and Ben-G’s latest mixtape “Everyone’s a Hater Vol. 1” This song has been requested by the Lord Gang Dj’s, founded by legendary recording artist Du “Do it all” Kelley of the Lords of the underground.
