If you could summarize chill Will in one word what would it be? Humble

Where did you get the name Chill Will? Tony touch gave me that name. We grew up together in Brooklyn. I played sports – he did music. We were both doing our thing. I got into a little Djing with him, bought some equipment and that’s how Tony Touch started.

How long have you been in FL? Since 1981. I seen this place go from all country music to hip hop. I came down with my parents when I was 15.

What have you seen change from then till now? The culture, the music, the clothes

What are some big names that you ‘ve brought down since you have been promoting?
My first show – I met big earl – I got  a lot of love for big earl. Guru, Sean paul,, Akon , clipse, juelz Santana, DMX, Plan b, many regaeton artists.

What is the most memorable show you have done? The first one with GURU. I had no idea of how it was going to go.

Any personal experiences with groupies? I try to avoid that, but they are out there. I played professional baseball with the NY Yankees from 1989 – 1991 so I definitely know about groupies. However I know when to draw the line, business is business . I have a lot of wild, interesting stories, but Im more mature now so well leave it at that.

Whats the most money you ve made and lost promoting a show? Orlando is a very hard market to promote hip hop. Ive lost a few and gained a few.
Ballpark I would say Ive made over 100k and lost over 40 k in one night. The business has its ups and downs.

Whats your favorite drug? Happiness

What are you promoting right now? I’m workin on a 3day tour for 50 cent – Orlando, Jacksonville and Tampa. . Also Mary J-Blije and  Nas.

Anything else you are doing? I am getting a little into production.  I have a studio downtown at 14 East Washington. I partnered up  and with Black light Productions – they are two talented young cats that do great work.

Whats some words of advice you can give people coming into the game? Keep your mind  open – give the little people an opportunity. Everytime I do a show I have 2 locals  opening up. Just be humble – keep your heart and your mind open and always put yourself in the next mans shoes.
